All you need to know…
The only way COVID-19 will affect your dance experience, is if you begin to show symptoms. As we learn to live safely with coronavirus (COVID-19), there are actions we can all take to help reduce the risk of catching COVID-19 and passing it on to others. These actions will also help to reduce the spread of other respiratory infections, such as flu, which can spread easily and may cause serious illness in some people. These actions include:
- Take the relevant precautions if you feel unwell
- Practise good hand hygiene
- Cover you coughs and sneezes
- Wear a face covering
If you are a beginner, you don’t have to worry! In fact, we are eager for more beginners to join us so that we can a) provide you with a passion you never knew you had and b) grow our already amazing local dancing scene. For these reasons, we have amazing teachers that conduct classes for absolute beginners.
Short answer… no! Of course, its fine if you want to bring somebody with you for moral support or maybe you only feel comfortable dancing with one person. However, our class structure is set up in a way that allows you to dance with everybody.
Dance shoes aren’t necessary. We recommend that you come to dance in whatever footwear you feel most comfortable in. The floor in our venue is wood and of good quality, therefore supports the use of trainers, flats, boots and even heels.
At any Latin dance event, you should be prepared to learn a lot from the classes. There will obviously be lots of dancing, lots of smiling, lots of laughter, lots of new people to meet and don’t be surprised to find a passion that you never thought you would have.
